It looks like someone is spilling the beans here at ComfortZoneCafe.com! Stop by for the latest news at the Zone. We'll keep you updated on events we're participating in around town, new merchandise, promotions, and more. For daily updates you can follow us on Facebook too!
After 3 years without an update you would think that we would have a lot to tell you, but alas, things have been a bit "status quo" around here.
A few things have changed, we have been quiet on Social Media/marketing because our main social-ite has been relegated to the kitchen, not a lot of fun pictures to take in the kitchen :( Our fearless leader is taking a break from physically working in the cafe due to family obligations. And our team has truly stepped up to fill in the big shoes that are temporarily empty.
We're still kicking out homemade soups daily, maybe in larger quantities than years past. We have a pretty steady team of staff that seem to have fun together, hopefully that shows in how they treat our customers. And we're constantly looking for new flavor complexes to delight your tastebuds, through sandwiches, drinks, desserts, and soups!
Let's go through a few of our new items that you might not have tried or seen yet:
It's the year 2020 and we decided it was time to step-up our video game.
Last Fall a company came to us offering a spot on our town website that came with professional video content. We decided to seize the opportunity and run with it, inviting some of our regular customers to take part in the fun. Their professional videographer led the way, based on a provided script, and we shot for hours. We are by no means, on the way to acting careers...
At a recent business review with one of our providers the account manager said something that really stood out in my mind. He told us that in reviewing our menu we should consider whether or not we are proud each and every time an item is served. I know, it seems like common sense, but all too often we find ourselves saying things like "people order it all the time, they must like it!" While the fact that something sells sure seems like a good way to gauge if it's good or not, it doesn't always paint the whole picture.
So we started thinking, what if we could tweak some of these items so that instead of just liking them, the customers would LOVE them? What if we added a sauce to that sandwich, would it be even better?
After years of people asking, "when are you going to have the Roast Beef soup again?" We've decided to make a set day for Beef on Weck soup each month!
From now on you will find Beef on Weck soup on our menu the 1st Thursday of every month. It will be available by the cup or bowl to eat in house or by the Quart ($10.20) to take home while supplies last. We
Looking for a way to send some socially-distant cheer this year!? Look no further. eGift cards are available for purchase online and can be emailed or texted to their recipient - Yay!!
We've been having lots of fun over here at the Comfort Zone Cafe!
Back in October one of our staff asked if we would be able to help the Character Council of Hamburg High School raise money to buy holiday meals for local families in need. We wanted to help but decided not to just stop there, and so began Coffee Packs for Charity. For every 2oz coffee packet that we sell through the end of 2019 Comfort Zone Cafe is donating $.50 to a non-profit organization. Coffee packets come in regular, flavored, decaf regular, and decaf flavors, and they sell for $2 a piece.
If you've ventured down the streets of Hamburg lately you may have noticed some changes. Many of our Village storefronts have changed, some have closed, some have moved, some have re-invented themselves, but there is no questioning, Hamburg is getting a facelift this season!
Over the last few months we have had a lot of customers concerned about the Comfort Zone in light of news that a new competitor was moving in to town. As their opening date approaches I thought I should broach the subject here.
Wow, it's been a LONG time since I've updated you on anything around the Comfort Zone - Sorry!
We are just returning to normal after almost a week of being shutdown due to snow here in WNY. This was the first time we've been closed two days in a row since we opened almost exactly 17 years ago. Believe it or not, we didn't like it!
So this week is Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Hamburg Holidays Parade week, meaning we'll be running like maniacs - I guess it's a good thing we had a week to rest up for it! We are currently taking orders for Thanksgiving pies and other baked goods, we will accept orders until around noon on 11-25-14 and you can call 716-648-5779 to place your order, obviously, the sooner you let us know, the better.
